Netmarble recently revealed the date for the final closed Beta Phase of DBO and Open Beta.
The final closed beta test phase will be held on January 9th from 12AM to 4AM (EST).
The Open Beta date has also recently been confirmed by CJ Internet – DBO Open Beta will start on Jan 14th in Korea. It also stated that this test will have 95% of the full game, and a 15+ Netmarble account is necessary for players who wish to participate.
Dragonball Online has been in development for 6 years, and the recent closed beta testing had 350,000 beta participants.

The beta on January 9th is actually a Guerrilla Test and not a Closed Beta… Guerrilla Test is a phase that focuses on server stability and usability, this phase only occurs if Closed Beta had some problems.

Ok… so there’s not going to be saiyans, but you are adding a buu race… Really now? Really? A frieza race would make more sense… buu is not a race, buu was a single entity created by Bibidi, yet they are going to add a Buu race, and not Saiyans? I’m a major DBZ fanboy, but with these idiotic design choices, I will not be playing. They are screwing up big time, a DBZ MMO has LOADS and LOADS of potential, and they are just going completely in the wrong direction with it.

@Zeno: The Majin race are children of Buu also Dragon Ball Online is being supervised by the creator Akira Toriyama (who also has creative control over it.) so it’s impossible for DBO to be screwed up.

Look guys. I heard that DBO was going to be released in 14th January. It will be released to the USA and Europe in 23th February and to rest of the world it will be released in 24th February. I think i’ve seen that in a post by the DBO team.

OK guys, First of all dont be stupid, There cant be sayians since there are no sayians left in the galaxie, all sayians have been killed, and the only ones with the slightest bit of sayian blood are their children.
The closest you will get to sayian now is a Human with the blood line of a sayian running in his viens.
And as for people trying to play the Korean version.
Yes it is illegal to use someone elses KSSN… that is called identity Theft.
You would basically be stealling someones identity, posing as them in order to play a game… (in order to play a game) that might not seem harsh….. But the government does not look at it that way….. They see you as a person who just commited Identity Theft, and that is a pretty serious crime.
And do you really think you would be able to read the Korean? or trnslate all of it
? Well guess what you CANT TRANSLATE all of it!
you can translate the basic character panels and such… but you will not beable to read quests…
